Facts On Dreams

The dreams were studied throughout history, and interpretation of dreams has tried to give meaning to these nocturnal visits as long as their people have been dreaming. People who could interpret dreams, and those whose dreams have been particularly intense, which often thought to be imbued with divine power, and they had a special place in their societies.

Even today, dream interpretation remains a highly sought after art, and science continues to focus on the interpretation of dreams as a way to cope with all sorts of anxiety and other psychological problems behind.

There are some interesting facts about dream that you might not be aware. These facts include:


1. More than a third of the life of the population rose asleep, and a good part of that time is spent sleeping dream.

2. In the average lifetime, a person will have spent about six years in sleep dream, which is equivalent to more than 2100 days dream.

3. The dreams have existed as long as human beings. There are records of dreams dating back more than 4000 years.

4. Dream interpretation exists almost as much as dreaming, and the Roman senators in the ancient world often uses the services of interpreters before making important decisions dream political and social.

5. Every human being dreams. Even if you do not remember your dreams, you dream of four to seven times a night, every night.

11. The word dream is derived from a word in the Middle English. This word, dreme, resulting in "music" and "joy". It is therefore obvious that the dreams have long been seen as a source of wonder and inspiration.

12. Men most often dream about other men, while women tend to imagine men and women.

13. Studies of the activity of brain waves showed greater activity during dream that during periods of sleep.

14. People who are awakened during sleep to dream are able to vividly recall their dreams, while those who wait until the morning to wake often are not.

15. Everybody, men and women, seem to experience sexual arousal during their dreams, regardless of whether or not the content of the dream is overtly sexual.

16. Smokers who try to quit often report more intensity in their dreams.

17. Studies have shown that toddlers do not dream for themselves. In general, toddlers, are not included in their own dreams until they reach the age of three or four.

18. It is impossible to snore and dream at the same time.

19. Children commonly experience nightmares, and these nightmares usually begin by the age of three and until the last child of seven or eight years.

20. More than 60% of those surveyed said they had suffered Already seen in their dreams. Déjà vu dreams occur more frequently in women than in men.
